Update

So, I feel like I haven’t been on here in forever, and it was only one day. My hubby is off on Tuesdays and Wednedays, so that is like my “weekend” where we go and do errands and activities together and as a family. It’s supposed to be my rest days for working out as well, but I didn’t workout on Monday because I did the deep cleaning of my house that day, so I did Turbo Sculpt this morning while everyone slept. It’s all good. Weight holding at 134 phew!

Anyway, yesterday we got up and hubby went out and bought coffee and doughnuts!!! How dare he? Well, I didn’t exactly try to stop him, lol. I only ate one though. We or should I say I then tidied the kitchen and got everyone ready for a fun filled expensive day of back-to-school shopping. Oy! It is not cheap getting 3 girls all geared up for class. I can’t believe school starts next Tues. This summer flew by. We got back packs, lunch bags, clothes, and school supplies. We still have to get a few clothing items for my 13 year old, and they still all need shoes…

Well, I made a major score at Guess for myself: I got a cute handbag reg price $119 for 50% off. I’ll take a pic and post later. I’m so happy with it!!! It’s black with gold hardware and it’s just a sexy handbag. I also got 2 pairs of earrings from Aldo accessories. The lady in the store keep telling me and my hubby we are such a hot, “scandalous” couple…not sure what she meant, but I’m pretty sure it was a compliment, lol…

Well, today I’m just going to focus on re-hydrating myself as I haven’t been drinking my water like I should. Hubs is still asleep so I’m not exactly sure what’s on deck for today, but I’ll go with the flow!!!

Today’s Workout

Today’s workout will be practical: a top to bottom back-to-school, get ready for Fall deeeep cleaning of the house and the children’s room. Yah, I know it may not get my heart rate up but, I expect a lot of sweat and hard work. My house has gone waay down hill over the summer and I got to get back to some normalcy.

Got my DVD back +

So when my hubby came home from work and I told him about my missing CD he gave this puzzled look and went over to the player. He checked each CD holder thingy and found the one that I used and then lo and behold he goes: “there it is” my fave TJ DVD sitting there in the dvd player all innocent like nothing ever happened and making me look like a crazy woman. Sigh. It’s whatever…I know what happened.

 So I was 133.8 this a.m. I wonder why I’m losing weight so quickly? I’m not complaining but, But I started this week off at 138 or 139. I realize I’ve probably lost a lot of retained water, since I’ve been drinking so much water, haven’t had 1 diet Pepsi since Monday, and I’ve been taking in a lot more fruit and veggies, which has been making me…ahem…extra regular, lol. That in addition to the working out I guess some pounds will melt off…I have a feeling the pounds will fly off until I get to around 127 or so and then I will most like stall…I’ll be coming here for some creative plateau busting ideas!

When I got pregnant with my son I was somewhere in the 130 and went up to a whopping 167!!! I lost weight some weight naturally and settled somewhere in the 143 range…no more weight would come off on it’s own. I worked my butt off with exercise and healthy eating and got down to 120. That was around Christmas of 07. After that, I totally abandoned my regimen and steadily gained until now here I am. :( Why was I so stupid? I have start all over again from square one. Makes me so mad if I dwell on it. I got down to a size 4 people. Now I’m on the brink of a 10. I gotta stick with it this time around…I have to make this a lifestyle. Make no mistake I do have a final goal in mind, however, I’ll be making life changes to maintain this goal indefiniately.

So, I’m going to do the TJ vid that I wanted to do yesterday Cardio Party. Hopefully it doesn’t hide on me again today ;-)

Follow-Up

There were some forces against my desire to get a workout in, but I prevailed!!!

I started off on the elliptical but, my head was pounding with the up and down motion so I only lasted about 10 minutes on there. I decided to do my Turbo Jam. I go downstairs and pop the DVD in and wouldn’t you know the DVD player ate my DVD!!! I couldn’t find it in there anywhere. I thought I was going crazy. It’s a 5 disc player and I took everything out but, still could see or get it to play. I almost gave up…I popped in another disc Turbo Jam 20 minute workout…I did my workout and worked up a really good sweat. I also did the Turbo Sculpt which is about 40 minutes long. That one really kicked my butt! I’m so glad that I was able to keep going and persevere through my workout.

I ate really well today and the kitchen is CLOSED. Well, I may have a herbal tea later tonight but, that’s it! I plan to do my nails and toes and watch What Not to Wear then go to bed right after.

This Would be the Part Where…

So I’ve worked out consecutively since Monday. I’ve lost a few pounds (I was 134.8) upon waking up this morning, but since yesterday afternoon I’ve had a WICKED headache I did 30 minutes on the elliptical yesterday but, had planned to do something light after dinner…no way. My head was pounding. It was all I could do to get dinner cooked and kitchen cleaned up and kids to bed. I want sugar soooo bad. I think my body was craving sweets. I’ve been eating fruits as an alternative but my body wanted that nasty stuff, you know WHITE SUGAR and it’s evil cousin HIGH FRUCTOSE SYRUP. I did not give in. I went to bed and that basically nipped it in the bud.

Anway as I was saying given my lowered level of hip hip hooray this morning this would be the part where I make some stupid excuse to take a break and then I don’t excercise and then I eat crap and then I erase my progress in the course of a day. NO MORE!!! I’m going finish this cup of coffee eat a sensible breakfast (eggs cause I need protein baby) and go at least 20 minutes on the elliptical maybe more, we’ll see.

I will blog again this afternoon to keep myself accountable. Feel free to send out the search dogs if you don’t see me…

A Little Quickie to Keep Me Going, lol

So I just wanted to put up a quickie blog post to say:

 I lost 3 pounds!!!!!!! I know, I know alert the media right? But hey, it’s a step in the right direction and seeing the pounds go down gives me such motivation to keep going.

I just thought I’d share. Okay back to your regularly scheduled program…;-)

I Feel Fabulous!

I feel so proud of myself today! I went 50 minutes on the elliptical and live to tell about it! I worked out this morning, then showered and then got cute for the day. We didn’t really do much just went to the bank and then the grocery store. Had to stock up on some healthy foods. I bought a nice relaxing tea to indulge in before bed. Hopefully it tastes good. I guess I see tonight. I won’t be adding any sugar to it….

I haven’t had dinner yet, but I’ll be doing pasta with tomato sauce and black beans thrown in there for protein and FIBRE!!! I need to feel full people!!! I can’t be getting hungry at night because there is no night eating allowed around these parts anymore, lol. Of course I will eat a salad BEFORE the pasta so as to prevent overdoing it. Pasta can be deadly if not eaten in moderation.

 I plan on one last “blast” of exercise by taking a walk later this evening with my family.

Hope who ever is reading is doing well. This is a journey and a lifestlye folks! I am in it for the long haul. I want to be an example for my girls and son too. One of these days I will post some pics of them (all 4 of them,lol). They give me reason to get up each day.

So I just want to say in advance that i’m totally writing off the top of my head right now and it’s 11:35 pm and I’m tired!!! I just had to get a few things down in this blog though before calling it a night.

 I guess I just wanted to introduce myself to the buddyslim community and say I’m so impressed with the support and positivity that I see here. I’ve been on buddyslim before in the past but, didn’t put my all into it. So I’m here and I’m ready. I need to jump in, focus and go HARD! I have some serious goals to achieve and I need to surround myself with positivity and motivating people. It has been said that in dieting and starting up a healthy lifestyle it can be easier when you have a buddy and a system of accountability. That is where buddyslim is going to come in for me. However, I know that when it comes down to it I have to put in the effort 100%. I’ve got to get my butt up on the elliptical. I’ve got to push play on my Turbo Jam dvd. I’ve got to drink that water, and stay away from the sweets that I love so much. I’m just glad that this community exists because it so good to have others who are going through the same things, or have been through it and overcome those challenges. While I wait to get on the infamous Wildcats team. I will challenge myself to:

Daily workouts: Elliptical 20 mins and Turbo Jam cardio party 5 days per week taking off Tuesdays and Wednesdays (my dh’s days off).

Drinking water till I think I might float away lol at least 64 oz per day.

2 cups of green tea per day

5 servings of fruits (low glycemic index)

at least 1 salad per day

 That’s it so far…

 Size 2 here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
